Salad: Advance Preparation!

This is my most favorite salad.  It is #1 in my book for two reasons, it is incredibly delicious and it can be prepared several days in advance.  Advance preparation for a salad? Yes!  The dressing can be made up to a week in advance and then the rest of the ingredients can be placed into a Ziploc-type storage bag for easy access at lunch or dinner.  I have kept the salad ingredients for several days in the fridge!  Just grab a handful of the salad ingredients, put into a bowl, pour on a little dressing, toss, and serve.  I put the dressing into clean, empty jam jars and store in the fridge.  I usually roast a large bag of pecans, cool them, and then store in original bag in the freezer.  Don't forget to add your nuts before you toss the salad.  Super easy, super delicious!
