I am hosting my grade school reunion party this week. The Catholic school I attended had 2 classes per each grade (1st through 8th). There were about 50 classmates in our year. We had a really fun class and close to 3/4 are planning to attend the reunion party! Yahoo!
I have a wonderful menu planned and I will be posting some of the party recipes over the next few days. First I want to talk wine. I honestly know nothing about wine. I will try something and say "oh, I like this" or "oh, I don't like this" --I can never remember the names of any of them regardless! I had a wonderful white wine at my friend Julia's house over Christmas. She always serves the best tasting wines. She does know all the names of the wines that she tries so I called her to find out the name of the wine that I loved so very very much. It is called Picpoul De Pinet and it is from Coteaux du Languedoc in France- - ooh la la! I will be serving this at the reunion. I don't know how to describe the taste other than "wonderful". My husband always gives me a hard time for choosing the items that seem to be the most expensive. Not this time! This wine is usually about $8 per bottle and sometimes less! I hope you try it!
