My new favorite cookbook is The Frankies Spuntino Kitchen Companion & Cooking Manual. The recipes are wonderful and the book is dedicated to their grandmothers --you know it has to be good when you read that dedication! I am not sure if I am allowed to print the recipe for this sauce. I did modify it a little bit but still --check out the cookbook. Their (the two Frankies) cookbook is beautiful and a nice small size, a perfect addition to your cookbook library. I describe this sauce as "manly" because it is! The recipe calls for 13 cloves of garlic. I had some very large cloves of garlic so I used half that and it was still very "manly". My family really loved it and Fitzy's boys said it was "just like Nonna's"! :) I hope you try it.
